What a great DLO! I love the way that you have profiled three different events that are part of the Matariki celebrations. Matariki is actually one of my favourite times of year. I love Matariki because it not only honours the beginning of a new year in the Maori calendar but it also represents the beginning of another new year for my son, Aronui. He was born during Matariki so we often have special events to celebrate the two new 'years' at our house every July.
