Did you go camping in the holidays?

WALT understand the structure of a recount.

My family, friends and I went camping at the beach during Christmas time.
We went camping for 3 days and 2 nights. We went there in my uncle’s car. When I am bored, I ask my friends to play with me.We played tag and hide and seek. I had a lot of fun.

After we went camping, it was Christmas and my mum gave me a game for my PS3. I played with the game that my mum gave me.

Then it was New Year’s Day and I was so excited. On new year’s day I got a present again from my mum. It was a chocolate bar. I ate it and it was so yummy.

Then we went to the beach in my uncle’s car again to go and catch some crabs and also swim in the sea. The water in the sea was so cold, I was freezing to death. Then after 30 minutes, my mum called me to have some snacks. I was so hungry because we were in the sea for 3 hours.

I had a really good holiday with my family and friends. It was the best holiday ever and the part that I enjoyed the best was when we went camping and I got play with my friends.

Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I can write the title, orientation, events and the conclusion in order.

Watch out for that ball!

WALT put language features correctly in our writing.

Last Thursday, we played golf in the bottom court. We went there to practise and play golf. Our coach told us to have fun and our teacher also went with us.

Our coach's name is Coach Kanou and he taught us about golf. Before we went golfing, we changed into our P.E gear. It was a green shirt, black shorts and sport shoes.

When we were playing golf, our coach had prepared hola hoops, traffic cones and tennis balls for us to use. Then we had to putt the balls into the hola hoops. They all had a card in them each. We used clubs to putt.

I had a lot of fun and the best part was we played something new and different. I want to learn more golf skills next time we play.

Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I can put proper nouns correctly.
