Safe Play Explanation

WALHT: Write a detailed explanation about safe play.
Safe Play Explanation
Safe Play is when you play safely with each other in an appropriate manner. Safe play is
important because it helps children to keep the skill of playing nice with each other. Safe
play should be always done by everyone including adults.

Safe play is an essential thing when playing because if everyone is nice and kind with
each other, no will be hurt and there will no more problems. Everyone is happy! If
children don't play safely, someone could get hurt which might lead to a severe injury
that could cause permanent damage.

When everyone is playing safely, it will be fair to everyone. No one will be crying and
everyone gets to enjoy all of the playground equipment. This way, no one will be left
behind and everyone will be enjoying the time of their life.

Playing safely can be difficult to some children. Sometimes friends can peer pressure
other people to perform dangerous stunts that can lead to injuries, which also makes the
child scream in pain. Playing on the park should be fun and it should be played the right
and safeful way.

Everyone should be play carefully on the park so everyone enjoys their time. No one
should be peer pressured from the friends or from any other people because it can lead
to injuries. Playing safely is better than playing with your hardcore friends.

The Messages

The Messages
She stared at the screen in the darkness. "Who was sending these messages?
Is Jack really real?", she asked herself. It was creeping her out. Until she finally
heard a text alert from the closet behind her. She turned around and slowly
begins to stand. She creeped towards the closet while taking deep breaths.
She opened the closet, there was a short scream, and Miya was never found again…

Two nights earlier - Around the start of May
Miya has been receiving unusual text messages every night since the start of
May. They didn't have an online name and there was no profile picture as well.
Miya just went along with the flow, she was cybersmart even though she was
only young, 13 to be exact. She knew she must not  share any personal
information. Apparently the person she was talking to was 'Jack' who was in the
same class as her. Jack even offered her to meet him in the woods in the middle
of the night, but Miya denied the offer. She turned off her PC and went to sleep
to refresh her mind for the following day.

Duffy Assembly - 11th of September

On the 11th of September, St. Patrick visited the hall to meet one of the Duffy Heroes, Henry.
Henry introduced himself and how reading books as changed and formed his life. He started
with how he visited a shop filled with books but has never heard or read a book before and he
thought they were DvDs. The clerk aided him with his confusions about the DvDs and told him
they were books. His interest in books quickly increased as he found its interestingness and
unexpected adventures books can have. Throughout his life, he would read books at the library
every Thursday to increase his reading skills and vocabulary.

Everyone enjoyed Henry's stories especially the junior children and his comedic actions and
stories even made the senior people giggle and laugh. All of the students loved and appreciated
their time at the hall because Henry's comical stories were the best of the best.

To end the event, one of the Yr 7 students, Xavier, thanked him on behalf of our school to thank
him for visiting us and sharing his stories and experiences. Henry was generous enough to give our
school a box of Duffy books for all the students. Everyone will be inspired by Henry's stories and
more children will start reading more books to expand their mind, vocabulary and imagination.
