Magic Milk Experiment
Experiment 1:
Materials:
-saucer
- 50 ml of milk
- 2 drops of different colours of food colouring
- squirt of detergent
Hypothesis:
Our hypothesis is that the colours will break its separation between themselves and will mix together when
the detergent is added.
the detergent is added.
What had happened:
Our hypothesis was valid because as we applied the 3 unique colours into the milk, it had tension between
them. However, when detergent was added it started to break its tension allowing the colours to bleed and
blend into each other.

Astria Student Prompts
With increasing online and digital content, it is difficult to know real information
from 'fake news'. Using evidence from the game you played (Astria: Countdown
to Impact) write a blog to list the top 5 things you think people should watch out
for to help identify fake news.

1. If something sounds sketchy, unbelievable or suspicious, search the
internet and check various website before confirming its truthfulness.

On a scale of 1-5, I think that my performance and teamwork with my
partner is a 4. In my opinion, I interacted with her but I think it was
enough. Our environment distracted either of us delaying in us in our
work. We could've also worked and work together better. Next time I
would collaborate with my partner even more to get the most ideas of
both of us.

Astria - Countdown to Impact Argument
A student in another school has recently blogged that:
“Students don’t learn much playing this game called Astria –
Countdown to Impact: Their time could be better spent doing
other things”.

Do you agree, disagree or partly agree/disagree?

I disagree, the game teaches students how to identify
how biased or truthful the game is. Through the rating
system, students can rate the in-game's website's/link's
biasedness, source and factuality. The skill can help
students make better choices when finding facts online.

Safe Play Explanation
WALHT: Write a detailed explanation about safe play.
Safe Play Explanation
Safe Play is when you play safely with each other in an appropriate manner. Safe play is
important because it helps children to keep the skill of playing nice with each other. Safe
play should be always done by everyone including adults.

play should be always done by everyone including adults.
Safe play is an essential thing when playing because if everyone is nice and kind with
each other, no will be hurt and there will no more problems. Everyone is happy! If
children don't play safely, someone could get hurt which might lead to a severe injury
that could cause permanent damage.

When everyone is playing safely, it will be fair to everyone. No one will be crying and
everyone gets to enjoy all of the playground equipment. This way, no one will be left
behind and everyone will be enjoying the time of their life.

behind and everyone will be enjoying the time of their life.
Playing safely can be difficult to some children. Sometimes friends can peer pressure
other people to perform dangerous stunts that can lead to injuries, which also makes the
child scream in pain. Playing on the park should be fun and it should be played the right
and safeful way.

The Messages
The Messages
She stared at the screen in the darkness. "Who was sending these messages?
Is Jack really real?", she asked herself. It was creeping her out. Until she finally
heard a text alert from the closet behind her. She turned around and slowly
begins to stand. She creeped towards the closet while taking deep breaths.
She opened the closet, there was a short scream, and Miya was never found again…

Two nights earlier - Around the start of May
Miya has been receiving unusual text messages every night since the start of
May. They didn't have an online name and there was no profile picture as well.
Miya just went along with the flow, she was cybersmart even though she was
only young, 13 to be exact. She knew she must not share any personal
information. Apparently the person she was talking to was 'Jack' who was in the
same class as her. Jack even offered her to meet him in the woods in the middle
of the night, but Miya denied the offer. She turned off her PC and went to sleep
to refresh her mind for the following day.
