On the 11th of September, St. Patrick visited the hall to meet one of the Duffy Heroes, Henry.
Henry introduced himself and how reading books as changed and formed his life. He started
with how he visited a shop filled with books but has never heard or read a book before and he
thought they were DvDs. The clerk aided him with his confusions about the DvDs and told him
they were books. His interest in books quickly increased as he found its interestingness and
unexpected adventures books can have. Throughout his life, he would read books at the library
every Thursday to increase his reading skills and vocabulary.

Everyone enjoyed Henry's stories especially the junior children and his comedic actions and
stories even made the senior people giggle and laugh. All of the students loved and appreciated
their time at the hall because Henry's comical stories were the best of the best.
To end the event, one of the Yr 7 students, Xavier, thanked him on behalf of our school to thank
him for visiting us and sharing his stories and experiences. Henry was generous enough to give our
school a box of Duffy books for all the students. Everyone will be inspired by Henry's stories and
more children will start reading more books to expand their mind, vocabulary and imagination.
